Nissan has taken the initiative to make the first pantograph style reach truck in the industry. This was because of the growing requirement for high performing narrow aisle reach trucks. Introducing the new SRX Platinum Series of reach trucks has become part of the North American market. The Australian launch is scheduled to follow very soon.
The SRX Platinum Series is offered in 3 capacities. These load capacities vary from 1360 kg to 2000. The system was made due to intensive operator input on the design. These considerations played a huge roll to guarantee its acceptance into the incredibly competitive reach truck market within the US. The following outstanding operator comfort and safety features have resulted for the Nissan trucks.
Because of a low step height, entry and exit is simplified. The side stance design makes reverse and forward driving a comfortable experience for the operator. The model is available with a gently sloped floorboard which is in place to sit on top of 4 vibration isolators. This particular design provides a relaxed driving position for the operator throughout a standing shift. In addition, the SRX Platinum Series provides a cushioned floor mat to offer a more enjoyable and smoother ride.
The caster design of the dual spring suspension system adds to the equipment's smoothness of operation. This suspension on rough and uneven driving surfaces, the suspension has been built to offer much better stability during operation. The thick padding located under the operator's arm further improves the total comfort factor. There is a cushioned backrest and height adjustable knee pad in place as well. The high operator backrest and the rear overhead guard post on the SRX Series offer additional operator protection. This is especially important when working around racking and within tight locations.
Nissan's forklifts have been built with the ergonomically and intuitive designed interior with a multi-function handle, that helps to achieve accurate control while lessening operator comfort. Some of the Operational commands comprise lower or lift, drive, side-shift or other auxiliary function, reach, and the horn can be executed and performed by this single handle.
